Empowering Local Youth: Inside the Chiraagh Vocational Training School Digital Literacy Program

Long before QuickSolveit existed as a website, the idea behind it was already being tested in a classroom. Since 1 October 2022, I have been running a digital literacy program at Chiraagh Vocational Training School in my own hometown, teaching practical, employable digital skills to young people in my community, free of cost.

139 Trainees and Counting

To date, 139 trainees have completed the program. Every one of them comes from the same local area, which was intentional from the start: the goal was never to build something abstract or scalable across the country first, but to prove the idea could genuinely change outcomes for people I know personally, in a village where formal digital training was not otherwise available.

What Trainees Learn

  • Office Management: computer fundamentals, MS Word, MS Excel, and typing
  • Graphic Designing: Adobe Photoshop and Canva
  • AI Basics: an introduction to artificial intelligence concepts using Python

The curriculum is deliberately practical. Typing and MS Office skills open doors to clerical and administrative jobs; Photoshop and Canva give trainees a path into freelance design work; and the introductory AI/Python module is meant to give younger trainees a head start on where digital work is heading next.

Why This Connects to QuickSolveit

QuickSolveit exists for the same reason this program does: to make useful digital skills accessible to people who might not otherwise be able to afford formal training. The typing test, certificate system, and file converter on this site were all shaped by watching, in person, where beginners actually struggle when they sit down at a keyboard for the first time.

Part of a Larger Goal

This program is part of a broader personal effort to help local youth stand up for a brighter, more secure future, for themselves, their community, and their country. It's slower and smaller than an online tool, but it's where the values behind QuickSolveit actually started.
